Summary

In the 1980s, Professor Hill led the faculty to create, develop, and attain accreditation for one of the first Computer Science and engineering programs in the USA. MSOE University's Computer Science & Engineering programs have produced thousands of highly qualified graduates in software and hardware engineering for nearly 40 years, consistently ranking in US News and World Report's Top 10 annually.

[1985] First Recipient of Sundstrand Corporation's Falk Engineering Educator Award for New Engineering Professors

[1987] Recognized for Outstanding Service to Minorities after raising funds which guaranteed under-represented engineering students (Women, Black, Hispanic, and Native Americans) scholarships, room, board and summer jobs with sponsoring companies covering 4 years.

[1987] First accredited baccalaureate degree in computer science and engineering in Wisconsin (6th in USA)

The Nineties

[1991] Developed fully integrated accounting, manufacturing, engineering, and CRM on Oracle for commercial sale.

[1997] Developed first fiber-based Internet service between Chicago and Milwaukee

The Two Thousands
[2001] Developed AI/LLM algorithms around business applications for Knowledge Relationship Management as a foundation for Artificial Generalized Intelligence (AGI)

The Twenty-Teens
[2013] Created and developed a data curation platform within a CRM framework for small and midsize companies, that effectively managed and monitored augmented reality with knowledge relationship management (KRM) for less than $100/person annually.

[2016] Created and developed the world's first enterprise-wide intelligence platform specifically for small and midsize companies, that extended and integrated CRM (Contact Relationship Management) with commercial products, e.g. QuickBooks Enterprise, Dynamics/GP, Mailchimp, Constant Contact and many others, enabling single-system relationship management of workforce recruitment, human capital development, sales orchestration, and project/job accounting.

The Twenty-Twenties
[2021] Created the world's first cloud-based platform to build and support stronger families by curating contact relationships, event calendaring, and records management, leveraging blockchain, enhanced by 5G networking and security, as well as AI-enriched automation to ensure privacy, security, and integrity under the World Economic Forum's Presidio Principles. For his creation, Dennis and his team at EXACTA were awarded Personal Technology of the Year by the Business Journals in 2021.

Federal and international agencies specifically deal with matters involving computer and communications security. Specifically, he focused on people and systems, eventually coining "Internet of Things AND People."

FATHER OF WORLD-CLASS CRM?

Perhaps not, but dr. Hill architected and led the development, deployment and sales of the world's first enterprise-class, company-wide CONTACT MANAGEMENT applications atop integrated accounting & manufacturing software on Oracle and Sun servers beginning in 1985. Hill pioneered the field by using CM not just for customers but also for vendors and workforces. He redesigned and recreated similar solutions for forty years for various companies and updated them for emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, and the broader SMB market.
